Can you guys do me a favor?
manually actuate your bypass valve. Is there any squeaking when it fully open? Does it make any noise?
Mine squeaks, not the pop, but feels like a "rusty spring" when I open it.

Even new, they do that. Must have something to do with how the return spring is mounted inside the housing. I think it is a large diameter spring and drags on the inside of the housing.

The squeak comes from the actuator arm where its bent and holds on to the bypass lever. A drop of oil will lube it.

I don't hear anything from mine but I coated it in graphite when I installed it.

can anyone post a picture of where I'm suppose to put the graphite grease?

Mine was squeaking the other day and Ari was nice enough to squirt a little WD40 on it for me. :)

I sprayed the arm and bolt with lithium grease. Hopefully that'll do it. When I actuate it, is squeaks a little, but doesn't seem to rub/grind anymore.

If it still binds/squeaks after lubricating the actuator arm and bypass lever, then you can lube the bypass axle at the butterfly valve in the blower intake port. I found that my new blower had that axle dry and it squeaked.

Thanks, makes me feel a little better. The squeek is coming from the bypass actuator.
