For those of you that are curious, this is how the FFS Hotside will ship. 85% pre-assembled. Install the crank pulley. Loosen two center exhaust manifold nuts, replace the studs, drop the kit on the studs, align the SC and Crank pulleys and tighten. The tensioner is all ready for the belt install and is pre-aligned. Auto tensioner means no adjustments. Add the 3" hose to the BTB to the MAF and air filter and that part is done. Mount the DTB and install the 5th injector and run the crossover pipe and that part is done. Plug in the PC-Pros and run the two wires and vac/boost tube to the intake manifold and that is done. Mount the IAC and that is done. A few minor vacuum hoses and you are basically ready to drive your 200 WHP hotside.
Note: The TPS is shown for demonstration only. Not included in the kit.

Now, about that CARB for the hotsides... :)

Now that the kit is finished, I should be able to finish the instructions next week. Then submit for CARB. I think it will be a slam dunk for 1990-2003.

Any picture of how the intake setup on the hotside will look like?
It is still going to be the flex tubing going down to the undertray area like the coldside?

On the hotside, it is up on the driver's fender. This picture is from the 99 install but the 91 is very similar.

The TPS is the Throttle Position Sensor. No need to order one, it is already on your car on the stock throttle body. You simply remove it from the stock throttle body and mount it on the new throttle body. In the third view in that picture, it is the black device in the lower right of the picture.

Well...It's about time :cheers2:
Here's to hoping you can get a response from CARB by XMAS so that I can take advantage of your early-adopter's discount.

A 99? Really? I don't know Tom, but that engine bay looks awful familar? ;)
Let me see, a coolant re-route, an unnamed company's mounting bracket, a cold-air box, green fender paint, VVT actuator, a rebuilt motor <sigh>, custom (read, crappy) wiring job extending the harness leads to the TPS, etc.
Personally, I'm just thrilled that you're getting the hotsides out on the market. It opens up another avenue for you. Congrats.

I was scratching my head wondering about the VVT on a 99......:chinese:

Oops. I thought that was Chuck's car. Yea, that picture has that ugly auto tensioner as well. Well, the hose, MAF and air filter looks awful familiar. ;)

Hi Gents!
I've been lurking around for a while looking for a M62 hotside kit since my m45 just can't deliver any more...
I see that the posts are rather old, do you still offer this kit or what happened? Price?
Thanks!

We made only two hotside kits. Both were for the 1.6L and one of those is now a Coldside. We only make Coldside kits now. Sorry.

Thank you for a very prompt answer Tom. That's a pity though. I don't want to ditch my A/A intercooler and furthermore I have to remove the sc once a year to past the emissions :-(
But please don't hesitate to give me a hint if you find some old hardware (i.e. side plate assembly and so on) together with an m62 with tensioner ;-)
For the moment cold side isn't an alternative.
Thanks!

I think Moss is the only hotside left.
