The Dec 8th trackday was sweet! I added some Torco to my tank and I ran the tank dry ;) . I got lots of comments on the car and gave many rides. It was lots of fun.
The next event is on Jan 13th.

Over at Arroyo Seco? Cool. Did they do the time event again? Maybe I'll have mine running again by then? I am patiently waiting for the Toyota COPs to get here. :(

This is what happens after a Miata flies around the track screaming lap after lap... People start to get curious :)http://www.crucesstreets.com/images/Event%20Images/asr_dec8/asr_dec8_001.jpg

Heres is a video of a friend of mine in my car chasing me in his car. He has a 95" NA http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3300146568909338060&hl=en
At one point he's behind me on the straight and I'm floored in his car and he's just loafing in mine and he says, "Just cruisin'!" and a little while later he realizes how easy it is to just stay behind me and he says to himself, "I need a supercharger...". He posted on the forums that he has started a supercharger fund. ;)

You know, its funny how it can work the other way too :). I've jumped into normally aspirated Miatas and had the sensation that up to about 1/2 throttle it seems ok, but then nothing more seems to happen from 1/2 to WOT. It is interesting to note that turbocharged setups give this same phenomenom (as normally aspirated) up until about 4000rpm and higher. I think that is why turbocharged setups "feel" faster than supercharged ones.... you are constantly reminded that the car is normally aspirated during "off boost" which is something that never occurs on a supercharged setup. It is always "on boost" with the MP62.
Superchargers spoil us.

After driving my friend's 95 with his new suspension (Koni Yellows with Ground Control coilovers and FCM mounts), I must say I'm seriously considering upgrading my suspension. He just had his car corner-weighted and cross balanced. Very balanced feel and smooth in the transitions.

I had a similar experience at the last track day we had in November. I was just as fast around the track when I drove a fellow member's normally aspirated Miata running Tein Coilovers and a Racing Beat front bar as my supercharged setup running the factory sport suspension (admittedly the shocks are worn 99.999% on mine). The difference was on the two main straights my car was doing about 110mph whereas his would hit about 85mph. However, I hardly had to lift for the corners in his car, and it wasn't just because of the slower straightaway speeds... I was going through the corners a lot faster with much higher exit speeds in his car. It had virtually no body roll, perfect composure in the bumpy sections and neutral handling. Very confidence inspiring. In the twisty S section, my car in comparison felt like a boat rocking left and right and this cost me time trying to get the tires to take a set. In contrast, in that same section, his car would immediately bite into the turn left and right without me hardly having to think about it... and with no body roll. I was easily going 10mph faster through that section in his car.
I guess I know what is next on the shopping list.. well, once I get a non-slipping clutch in there (going back to ACT). Santa, I've been nice this year!!!

Your camera mount sucks! That video made me noxious.
PM me and I will send you some links to build a killer mount for a relatively low cost.
