Brian and Robert from http://double-apex.com/ had a fun, albeit short, time driving the car. Even with it's coil problem, Brian said he turned his fastest PIR lap in it. His only complaint was that the suspension (JIC 12/10) was too soft "It rides too much like a Cadillac". That should tell you how stiff the suspension is on his race Miata. :) I told him we can adjust that for him next time out.

Looking good. That supercharger whine never gets old.

You must have some smooth tracks out there for 12/10 to be "like a Cadillac"!

His words, not mine. :)

LOL, that's great!!!

This got me thinking (oh oh), that if a track day inviting all the Miata forum boostaholics were organized someday, this could basically end the forum arguments of supercharger/turbo, standalone/piggyback, etc. once and for all. I think it would be healthly competition in other words and my prediction is that a lot of people would have their eyes opened.

Nice video Tom! I think Gary at TDR organizes one every year.

I think people would find that the driver, suspension and tires are way more important than the WHP.

Thought I would post here to give kudos rather than M.net due to all the turbo flack over there.

Just watched the two videos you posted on M.net and I am impressed! Gave me a real chuckle as Ari passed the two Mustangs driven by instructors. In the in-car view your Miata really moves through the gears quickly... I know it is a 6-speed but you have the 3.63 so it is close to my 5-speed with 4.3 in overall gearing. You're at higher altitude too... :) Looks to me like you have PLENTY of power :) :)

Great driving by Ari!

Where and when?

Here is the registration form from last year. I signed up, but unfortunately couldn't make it. Hopefully will make it this year. It was held at the Motorsports Ranch in Cresson, TX on June 23.

Tim, one of the Bondurant instructors, was driving. Ari was the passenger to hold the camera and add weight to give the Cobra Mustangs a chance. ;) Did you like it when they were fender to fender in the right hand turn? :)

By the way, that was with the 105mm pulley and 202WHP.
