To anyone intrested- This is what I did to add a couple of guages without hacking up my Miata. They are out of sight and out of mind from the veiwing public and are very veiwable when I need them. They are attached to a glove box orginizer that is avilable several sources. It still leaves most of your glove box useable too. The 2 guages are AEM a/f and a Aem boost.

Great idea but it's a little far for us folks with bad eyes to see. :(

I just installed 3 gauges in the radio slot and lowered the radio to where the cubby hole was.

I didn't have the radio location as an option ,without replacing the whole head unit. My 2001 with the standard radio CD is a 1 &1/2 DIN unit so there is no space left . The only other option was the A pilliar mount, and I didn't like the way that they blocked the drivers veiw. I only use these guages for tuning my FFS coldside . Once the tuning is set they are only used occationally for reference. The AEM guages have a center that is a LED Digital number ,that is easily seen from the drivers position even in bright sunlight. It didn't show to well in the pictures ,but the gauges are angled towards the driver. The plus side of the install was that it only required one hole to be drill in the backside of the glove box for the gauge wires to pass thru. My 2001 is a total sleeper from outside apperance's. That's half the fun to blast by the hot-roders with my 4 cylinder.
