Might be better to link directly to the website, not to mnet:

6th Gen Superchargers (http://www.magnusonproducts.com/mp19006thgen.htm)

New Twin Vortices series (http://www.eaton.com/EatonCom/Markets/Automotive/Superchargers/TVS/index.htm)

They look fancy!

Why?

FormerDatsun510Man (Bill) made some good comments that the folks on this forum may not become aware of if a link to the Mnet was not provided.

Is information from the Mnet verboten on this forum?

I understand Tom may still be pissed at some of those clowns, having to respond time after time to their chronic nescience. (ignorance that's due to them)
I know that I sure would be, but with new Mnet s/c forum, those turbo weenies will hopefully leave us alone.
We still have some pretty cool/smart folks over at the Mnet and Bill is one of them.

Just my $.02

No problem linking to mnet. I think it is startng to be adult again over there. The children have been spanked and it is, at the moment, sane again.

Anyhow, I am willing to look at that blower the day they say they have one ready to sell in the 1L range. 900CC would be just fine probably for my application. The good news is that I bolt the blower to the spacer and th spacer to the plate so modifying it to work on my kit would be a breeze.

I think those blowers have a lot of potential. I just hate discussing something that is not available and subject to change before we get to use it. I believe someone said that one of them had the same port and bolt pattern as the MP62. That would be great.

Would using a different blower mean it negates the current CARB?

Yes. I'm sure it would. If a 2 foot crossover tube negates it.

Oh, I didn't mean hat you shouldn't link to mnet at all, just that for those of us who want to go directly there, it's nice to have the link handy.

Maybe we'll see one of these on the 2011 ND? :cheers2:

I thought the new Eaton Blower found it's way into the new Corvette ZR-1. I haven't taken a good look at the new design but it seems to me that it would require a larger overall package for the same displacement. That's probably not a big deal for a small-displacement blower like the one for a four-cylinder but it might make a difference for a big one.

Design-wise, the twist of the lobes on the Eaton blower made it more efficient than the original Roots blower. Maybe increasing the number of lobes to four results in a further increase in efficiency. However, judgning by early comments regarding the one on the Corvette, the 6th-gen Eaton requires more power to drive it (reportedly 60-70hp for the big one on the ZR-1).
