Saturday starting the install on FFSC. ???? Is there any parts or equipment that I should have with me that will be helpful besides what the kit instructions call for?
Any tips you guys have will be very helpful? Looking Forward to more power. About how long will it take to install. Never done this before but will have help with someone that has and of course, Tom,and my trusty Cell

Your worst experience is going to be getting off the two lower rear nuts on the manifold. I used to supply a 10mm wobble socket but most said they preferred the 10mm crows foot. I would suggest that, whatever you use, take your time.
The latest instructions, thanks to the early installers, are miles ahead of what they had.
Be assured that, if you post a question here, someone will answer it in minutes. Also, my cell phone is seldome more than an arms length from me. I have also been known to be on-line in the wee hours. You can also text message my phone. I will say that, after the trip back from California last Wednesday, my wife no longer allows me to text back while I'm driving. Especially at speeds over 100MPH. And, for the record, no I did not get all the way off the road before she yelled and I corrected.

38 years we will be married this year and it was the first time I think she seriously thought of divorce. Well, it caught my attention as well. :)
I'm on California time and anytime between 7:00Am and 9:00PM my time is OK. For you that would be 10:00AM to midnight, I guess.
If you use Messenger, PM me and I'll give you that link as well. Ari will tell you that we have had 3:00AM discussions on several occasions. :)

To explain, there was this Mitsubishi Spyder and BMW that were in even more of a hurry to cross CA than I was. As we jockied for position, the speed crossed 100 and we all seemed to just set the cruise. Then I got the text message and felt the need to respond. :) The rest, as they say, was history.

On my 2001 those are 12 MM nuts. As far as taking your time, it probably took me 1 million hours to put on a coldside. Now I get to do it again if I ever get my engine back.

I visited my head at the machine shop the other day. They put in a pipe threaded hole for a barb in the side facing the heater just in front of where the thermostat will be that looks really good. They relieved the casting next to it to give room for the hose. They also put the hole in the intake manifold for the ecool that looks good.

Thanks for the correction. It is indeed a 12mm.
Is the barb you speak of for the cooling re-route?
Someday soon you will make lots of power. I predict larger and larger pulleys will be heading your way. :-)

Yes, the barb replaces the heater hose outlet that was on the housing being replaced by the thermostat housing for the reroute. Since the head was at the machine shop, I couldn't pass up the chance to put one in. Otherwise I would have to run a hose from the front after swapping housings. Now I'm just going to put a plate over the front extension where the thermostat housing used to be. Would be a good place for an advertising logo etched into the plate.
Comment on this forum: The thing logs you out too quickley. Every time I come back to it after a little time lapse, I'm logged out.

Let us know how the re-route goes when complete. Pictures would be great.
I never log out and am always logged in even when I am off for a day. Could it be your security system or cookies?

I don't get logged out on the other 2 Miata related forums. I just tried swapping windows back and forth to see if that did it, still logged in for this session. If I go away for an hour I'm pretty sure I will be logged off. Actually, this is good since it slows down ill thought out posts. I had to delet a question on BRP that would have made me seem like and idiot after I thought it out a little. They got rid of the "Coldside only" and combined all Miata supercharger posts in one category.
By the way, I ran across the thread in Mnet where the "abrassive" thing came from. I had wondered after seeing the Poll. What a bunch of arrogant a**h***s.

Good luck with the install. It wasn't bad at all looking back at it. I could not get the pipe loose on the back of the engine, so I just forced it a little.
I would suggest that you use a little more of the ultrablack/cooper on the intake manifold than suggested. Initially I bearly used any and had to take the supercharger off to redo it. Not fun. Also if you're planning to do an oil filter relocation kit, this would be the time.

Is anybody else having a problem of being dropped out of your login if you leave for awhile?
Kyp, one solution would be to camp here and never leave. :)

Sometimes I have to go somewhere (to the machine shop to look at my engine or a restaurant to eat) . I will try the check box to auto log on every time. Usually those choices don't last long. I think every time the computer auto updates from Micro Soft every thing gets defaulted to something different than my choices. Yesterday when I refreshed every now and then it stayed logged on. Then went for a mc ride for a few hours and it had logged me off

You are so right (sadly). I had every intention of picking up a 110mm pulley from Tom when I come out there in a few weeks, but now our HP pusher, Tom, has me thinking 115mm. It's only 5mm right? Oh, and I now have a 5 gal. can of 104 oct. in my garage. Is that considered paraphernalia?

I lived around the Fullerton area and only knew of one place (in Fullerton) with race gas. How much is race gas in SoCal?

Well almost done. All I have to do is the AIC, finding where the yellow wire with black trace on it goes, is not been easy. NOT to say that you haven't been helpful TOM you have and then some. I am , well like Forest Gump says " stupid is stupid does " thats me. If it wasn't for the help from two really great friends Ken & Rich this supercharger might still be very close to the box. So if any one can send me a pic the might help. Also what does that vacuum hose from the AIC go to? One last question is AIC already programed or does it still ahve to be done?

Well, I got mine at the neighborhood speed shop. They sell it by the can, not at a pump. It is not cheap....$40 for 5 gal. The good thing is that I only need a gal. or 2 of 104 to go from 91 to 93.

Thats what got me to this place in time. I have a Turbo MSM 05 and it just got an FM cold air induction kit which added about 25 HP and then a mid pipe and muffler to had another 25 so all the power in one car and not in the other, well you can understand.. Boost is Good.
