hi folks

i managed to pick up a new unfitted powercard and decided to fit it today.

here it is

http://i153.photobucket.com/albums/s231/roadster_rs/charger/P1080609.jpg

i used the instructions ofr the ffs chargers for the 1.8 95 and used the ecu pin out diagram

I hard wired it into a spare ecu that i have here , so i can revert back to stock if needed.

can someone please check these connections just so i dont do any damage before fitting the whole ecu and powercard as it is now.

white /yellow - 2u
green - 2v
red/blue - 2y
white green - 2z

red - 1b
black - 2b

for the tps wires i cut the metal connector at the back of the ecu plug and soldered the
purple - to the tps side
yellow / purple - to the ecu side

I noticed that this powercard seems different from the ones ffs sell and afaik it originally was bought from trackdog racing.
Can anyone shed any light on the difference ?

Can anyone give me any good or bad news with the work i have carried out ?

I had planned to fit this and plumb up the vac pipe to the inlet manifold while na for the next month , get used to playing with the pc-pro then fit the charger ( its a 1995 1.8 eunos roadster)

will the pcpro work while na ?

Paul,

That is the Moss version of the PC-Pro. You tap the 12V, GND and 4 injector wires to their respective wires. Only wire you cut is the TPS. Purple goes to the ECU end and Purple/Yellow to the engine end.

Does it have a proper program file for your application? If not, you may have to send it someplace to be programmed.

The 95 pinout is here:

hi tom

afaik , gary sold it to a guy who has the same model as mine , also with an m45 but he decided to go the emb route with his

I hope it is programmed otherwise im beat.

are you sure you have the 2 tps wires the right way round ?

How do i know if this pcpro has been programmed ?

feel sick now

Good catch. I wrote that on my PDA as I was driving. Sorry. The Purple goes to the engine side and the P/Y goes to the ECU.

I suppose you could ask the gy with the M45 that you bought it from how well it worked? Or ask Gary at TDR? I can't help you there. On my cards, there is a different file for the 94-97, 99-00 and 01-05 and then different versions of those for my Coldsides and Hotsides and M45s and turbos. I'm sure it has been programmed but no idea if it has a proper file. My files are significantly different from Moss/TDR as well.

ok , a bit of an update on this

i fitted the ecu and it went reasonably fine.

The red and green lights flashed and the car wouldnt start.

I eventually hardwired it into the wiring loom and it started up fine.
when the red ign light is on on the dashboard , the red and green light flash but once the engine is started the greens lights hunt from side to side then settle on green.

I fitted the vac / boost pipe to the inlet manifold and routed the tube into the footwell pf the passenger seat.

The car is na but the blue boost light comes on when driving hard. It stays on green when cruising..

The lights on the card seem to come on quite slowly and not as soon as i floor it.

I spoke to gary at tdr and he advised me to use these settings

"You might set the 4th mode to 6 or 7 and the 5th mode, the acceleration map to 2."

does this sound right ?

i think i might have a kink in the vac tube as it comes through the bulkhead so i disconnected it from the pcpro and its not doing anything at all.

when the blue tube is pinched at the pcpro while driving the blue boost light comes on along with lots of reds / amber and the car kinda jerks , as i suspect fuel is added ?

tom - on a side note can you supply a dual feed fuel rail and a lead to reprogram this pc pro please ?

Paul,

I do have a fuel rail for the 1995 but, unfortunately, it will have to be Gary to re-program that version of the PC-Pro. I'm sure he has the software and programmer module to do the job. I wouldn't even know which lights do what function? Sorry. I wish I could help.
