Sitting around waiting for the fuel pump to arrive today (which it did get here) I decided to reroute the inlet air location. My setup is very similiar to the one I had the the Focus that was turbocharged. I had to make a transition piece to go from the inside of the filter to the inside of the hose which are slightly different dimensions. I made a foam mold and made a fiberglass part to handle the duty (picture 1). The other 2 shots show the finished install with everything back together. Won't have any results for a while as my transmission guy is not back until Monday and the ability to drive the car depends on what we find wrong and what we need to repair. I decided to try this after seeing the temperatures go up when running the A/C last weekend. It was close to 100º ambient and I was seeing 138º on the IAT. Usually see 12-14º over ambient with no A/C.
