I recall seeing somewhere where the minimum size 6 rib s/c pulley used with the ATI damper would be 150mm... if so, then no go with a pulley that big.....(yea right, someone's gonna do it)
Is the 6 rib s/c belt offset on the ATI ok with the coldside nose pulley?
TIA

Hot there today Pat. ONLY 112 here so far.
I guess I am not following the question. Does the ATI come with a 150mm 6 rib pulley in front of the stock 4 rib pulley locations? Is it just a replacement for the stock pulley? Can you aim me at some data/info?

Hey Tom, The ATI Damper comes with a 6 rib supercharger pulley as a option:
http://www.flyinmiata.com/index.php?deptid=&parentid=&stocknumber=04-95570%20%201994-95
IIRC the pulley (located in front of the belts) was sized for folks who had the Uber Whipple ~ 150mm.
I guess I could check with FM to see if a smaller 110-120 pulley would fit the damper.
If 150mm is the smallest pulley that would fit, then to keep coldside in the safe zone a custom 80/85mm nose pulley would be needed. Not sure that big of a nose pulley would work/clear your auto-tensioner That is, even if the ATI s/c pulley lined up with the MP62 nose pulley.
Keep cool amigo...

If it is 150mm, then I have some 75mm 6 rib SC pulleys. 150/75 is the same as 130/65 so it would work the same as my car. :) Without any dimensions, I can't tell if it would work or not? Sorry. All I see is three holes in that pulley so I'm curious how it bolts to the crank hub that has 4 holes? Do they replace that piece as well?
I guess my best answer is that I just don't know. My kit works perfectly well with the stock crank pulley so I also don't know why you would want to spend that $540? If the 6 rib 150mm pulley was properly spaced, I think it would be fun, even with the 65mm pulley on the SC. ;)

Thanks Tom.
Just checking in to see if anyone has used it with your c/s or h/s kits.
As I understand it all pulleys are replaced with the ATI damper, thus the 3 hole.

That looks like it should line up OK. Buy me one and I'll try it for you. I am getting tired of 130/65 anyhow. :)
Don't you have an E-Cool fountain for your pool. :-) We do and it really works.

NOT to be confused with a intercooler, no doubt....;-p

Actually, as out pool is in the back yard, we tend to call the fountain mister and outer cooler. Life without E-Cool would be hot. E-Cool is NOT an inter-cooler even though it does cool the air between the supercharger and the engine. Have we covered this ground before? :)

Heh heh....Yes Tom, quite adequately.

Well, I can only say that, since we converted the swimming pool to gasoline, it cools a lot faster than when it was water.

...just don't park the BBQ too close!
I'd be reading about it in the local paper tomorrow! What do they say about 15 minutes of fame ? ? ?
