Well Tom finished the SC today.went for a drive. The idol took a while to calm down but it did. the HP is not up to par yet, but woring on that. I also got check engine light on. checked out the car. put a code meter on it and got P1512 book says that it is a Intake manifold runner control Stuck closed ( Bank 1 ) didn't know i had one and where is it? when I push on the gas pedal but not in boost I have( shrill / air )sound. and I can make it happen for a while or make it stop depending on how I push the gas pedal. Any Idea whats going on here?

I would double check your vacuum hoses and make sure that they are all connected correctly. Also I would check those little hoses by the charcoal container and "boost switch."

Did you hook up the hose that connect the intake manifold to the bypass valve on the supercharger?

Yes I think I did. why does my problem sound like it will be one of those items. I have checked and double checked this SC so much I am going dizzy. Thanks Banshee

Yep. Sounds like the bypass valve is not connected. That would give you the vacuum leak and no boost. That is the 1/4" hose that goes from the nipple under the bypass valve to the 1/4" elbow fitting on the side of the manifold.

Do you think better spark plug wires will help. My friend has jackson racing SC and he had to put better wires on no power in mid range.

No. You have coil on plug. There is something else wrong that you hear the hiss and have no boost.

Well, for one, you don't have any intake runner actuators anymore. They're sitting on the shelf. All you have left is the boost switch that used to operate them. It need to see vaccum, or else it'll throw a code.
One test that you can do is rev the throttle real quick in neutral (do this by pulling the throttle wheel in the engine bay) the bypass valve should close breifly. That will atleast tell you you're getting some boost.
If you can post some close up of your engine bay, perhaps we can spot the problem.

Well the code has something to do with VTCS you are right. I will put a pic up on the web as soon as I can. My computer is totaly fried and I am using my wifes laP top and A WIRELESS CONECTION so many things don't excist right now.. But I put this green & White thing back in the line going back to the vtcs soleniod, (sorry I don't know what it is called) and that gave me back my power now I here the SC wine. I also have the same thing still out and it is all green. Tom said it goes back in the car to but where :?: The reason for no power the first time was on the AIC one line still open missed the vacumn line not installed by me. fixed that and then the 1512, now that is fixed I hope, now code P0505? whats up with that :?:

I put the green and white thingamabob back in the line and flopped my
hoses on the vcts and haven't gotten the 1512 code since. Hopefully
that was it. There is a thread in the 2001 forum on the 1512 code.
