For no specific reason I removed the injectors off the 96 and sent them to WitchHunter for clean & flow. The car has 74K (22K supercharged). Number 4 had a bit lower flow rate but nothing extreme. Probably a little more varnish since that cylinder runs hotter normally. All four now flow 255 cc/min. Upon reinstall I swapped #1 and 4. Car runs great but it did before as well. Kudos to the turnaround time, I mailed them Monday and they were in my mailbox Saturday afternoon.

The reason for the post is that on the 96 the injectors took all of 20 minutes to remove and another 20 minutes to install. I was going to do the same with the wife’s 10AE and it looks to me that the intake manifold must come off to get to the injectors (car is a hotside MP62). Is that true?

Sorry. Maybe Bill can help here. I am not familiar enough with the stock manifold as we replace the manifold. However, I am pretty sure the 99+ injectors will come off with the manifold in place.

If Bill doesn't pop in and offer help, I'll send him a bump. :) There are several hotside people on this forum. I'm sure one will pop in and help.

Like the 96, all you do is remove the rail and the injectors pop out. Do you have access to the three bolts that hold the rail on?

Yes, access to the three bolts is easy. I was looking at the amount of space left to try and wiggle the injectors out. One of those times you need tiny hands with extra joints.

Thanks for the reply.

Maybe if I move this to the Hotside forum? As they sy in business, the three most important things in a successful business are location, location, location. :)

I think it might be tight but doable?
