Need to upgrade to the 1.8 diff?

Hey Dan,
I see from our MX5OC forum you had to upgrade your diff to a 1.8. Is that because it was knackered, you thrashed it, or that it wouldn't even stand "moderate" driving?

How much torque can a 1.6 diff stand?

Just making sure I'm ready for the TOTAL cost... :eek:

I think he did that to err on the safe side. :) It is a lot more fun putting all that torque to two wheels to go fast than just to sit and spin one tire. :)

What Diff upgrades do folk recommend (if required).
