I may be blind or stoopid (or both) but I can't see the instructions for mounting and wiring in the 5th injector on the hotside instructions. I know it's supposed to be there, on the dummy throttle body, but...

Anyone help me out?

The kit will ship with a dummy throttle body and it will be pre-drilled for the 5th injector. You will simply screw the injector in and run the two wires from the card to the injector. There is no polarity.

Does the E-Cool card plug into the stock ECU as well? Where does the timing card plug in? Some sort of daisy chain?

It is all pre-wired to the plug-in harness. So it all plugs in at the same time.

Tom,
Is there a pin out diagram for the 2 plug ECU / 1.6 batch fueling set-up? As it's all loomed up I guess it's fairly straight forward.

However, can you highlight which two wires from the PCPro connect to the 5th injector

(ps. are you going to update the installation instructions with this??)

I just put this together

http://www.FastForwardSuperchargers.com/Install/90-93-ECU-Pins.jpg

I have not inserted all of the connections but these cover the ones in question. If you have a way to confirm the pins for yours, it would be great.

The 5th injector wires are the same as all of the other kits. We have two wires rolled up for you to run. One comes from 12VDC (Red) and the other is the White/Red from the card.

so that's 2o and 1b?
I'll uncover the ECU and take pictures etc.

Check the wire colors to the diagram.

I sent you a photo a couple of weeks ago, but it's difficult to make out what colour the wires are and where they go (even at 5Mp) so I'll need to take up the carpet and check again, but it doesn't look exactly the same...

Good job it's the weekend!

Check the wires against the 94-95 colors as well. They may have gone to the 94-95 ECU?

That's more like it, but it's difficult to say from my photo - investigation in the morning and report back!

Same identical harness in both cases. Just the colours (did I spell that right? :)) change. if it is like the 94-95, I will have to use two PC-Pros but that is my problem. I would be curious, if it is like the 94-95, my timing card should work. :)

OK - so it looks a bit different from both the jpgs you showed. There are more empty connections, more like the 93, but the wrire colours are different. I've saved the pin-out and accompnying photos here

One odd thing was a connection/termination block with six wires, mostly black/blue. There's a phot in there as well. Shout if the link doesn't work.

Thanks....:dots:

And here's some good reference material on wiring. Mine looks more like a '95 without AC (which it doesn't have - it's the UK...)

Yours is like that? That is a 96 with three connectors. You have three connectors?

That first piece was from Phil in the UK. He is not very knowledgable on that stuff. All he was saying is that the original person could use the link in either batch or sequential mode. Not much help as to what the person actually had.

Now I need to know whether you have two connectors or three?????

I may have posted too many responses and lost you. Above is the link to my 2 plug pinout.

It was this post and link that threw me off. You said it looks like a 95 just like this link. The link you gave is a 96 and has three connectors.

I have made a blow up of the main connecctor picture and will give it due dilligence tomorrow. Do you know anyone with a European service manual that would have the injector and ignition wiring diagrams?

ROZ, I agree, it does look more like the 94-95. That is a good thing. :) Injector 1 and 2 are in the same place on both systems so it will be east to mod if it is wrong. Ignition 1 and 2 are in the same place as well and that means we will use the PC-Pro TC and replace only if needed.

Only thing in question is injector 3-4 at the far left end. It looks like they are there and we should use the 95 harness wiring. Can you look at the connectors at injector 3-4 and see what corors are there? They will either have a green/whit (3) and a Green (4) if 95 or a yellow (3) and Yellow/Black) 4 if wired as 93.

OK - after scrubbing away the oil and dirt etc. here are the scores;

1 Yellow
2 Yellow/Black
3 Green/WHite
4 Green

I know a couple of Mazda specialists (without axes to grind) who may be able to help out. I'll call them tomorrow.

Thanks Tom - we're getting there!

Cool. You get two PC-pros and the PC-Pro Timing Card.

I had a negative response from one of my specialists, but he did recommend the Rod Grainger workshop manual - I'm still pursuing other avenues... :scooter:

If you really want beautiful, accurate schematics for any car and are willing to pay a few dollars for it, I use this website (http://www.ahdol.com/) for my schematics. The color coding really helps to follow the lines through the pages.

I got hit with 3 Trojans (the virus not the rubber) when I opened this link :nono:
Be warned

(drawings do look good though - question for me is getting the right one...)
