Hey guys, I'm currently running the 200HP coldside e-cool system in the "out of the box" trim, w/ the JR timing & power card, and I'm looking to upgrade my pulley on my 99 Miata. I know that "The Man" (Tom) is running the 130mm and get's killer results. However, I'm wondering what others in the the SC miata community might be running and what kind of positive experiences or problems you've experienced. I'm leaning towards a 115 or 120 mm pulley which should put me around 220 to 225 hp and around 170 to 175 hp based on some communication w/ Tom. Any feedback is greatly appreciated especially about tuning issues for upgrades.

P.S. I do plan on upgrading the fuel rail, as recommended by Tom and have already upgraded my fuel pump to a 255 Walboro.

Thanks,
Larry

Larry, just to adjust a typo so others don't get confused, your statement "around 170 to 175 hp based" is torque, not HP.

The 115/120mm pulley should get you to the 210-220 HP range. The 125-130mm pulley should get you to 220+ HP. It all depends on your engine and fuel octane and other parameters. Even if you don't get it above 220HP, the increase in low end torque is where the fun is. My engine (150,000 miles) is getting tired and top WHP is down a bit but I am right close to 190 ft-lbs of torque peak and the torque at 2500 RPM is still astounding. :)
