The 'Test Letter' is ready to go but I am going to ask them to hold it one more week to give me time to test the new fuel control module. It will meet CARB as it will have no customer adjustments and is all in one package. I also think that it will do a better job on the 01-05 cars and it is the 05 that needs to pass.
Sorry for the added delay but, in the bigger picture, one more week right now is a small price to pay.

We trust your judgement Tom. Anyone who knows you would.

Good plan. You only want to pay for the tests one time.
In the big picture, even if it's two weeks it's a small delay.
Keep up the good work!

Well, I just picked up the 05. Been parked at the shop for a couple months. Started like it was not happy for being abandoned but I had forgotten how well it ran. Feels ke more low end pull than the 99.
First a wash and wax to get the grime off and then on to home for the new fuel module.

Just my usual "Thanks for pursuing CARB Tom. I think many out there are like me in wanting a kit that one just installs and then drives forever. I know that some will say it is easy to swap the kit out to CARB or to bribe someone to overlook it, but many of us are not interested in either of those options.

I have informed CARB that the new module will be the module of the future and will be on the 05 for testing. I should have the Test Letter in short order.

We will begin burning incense and chanting to smooth the way.

Well, they have tentatively approved the new module. Have a meeting at ARB in LA on Wednesday. :-)
