On my 95 I have a leak that appears to be coming from the drivers side valve cover or cam cover, against the fire wall. It's hard to see even with a mirror. The cover I'm looking at is held in place with, I think, three screws. Any one know what this is and is it a common area to leak?
Thanks Alan

Very common place for leaks. It is probably coming from the CAS seal, which is on the rear drivers side.

Purchase a valve cover gasket and a CAS seal. Then remove the valve cover, side out the CAS and replace the seal.

Instructions are found in the garage section of Miata.net. Simple repair, fairly cheap, and you will be good for anither 10 years.

Thank you, that's exactly what it is.

While you're in that area check your heater core hoses. Oil from my leaking CAS seal caused the hoses to soften and fail.
