Two of the heads of the Allen head bolts that mount the Supercharger plate to the intake manifold (these are the bolts under the fuel rail) have parted ways with the bolt. Tom and I talked this afternoon about it. It's possible I overtorqued some of these, but maybe not. I've got about 450 miles on the install

Can people do a spot check on their Coldside installs and report back? Let's just make sure it's me and not something chronic.

Thanks!

When I took mine apart after cooking my engine and 500 miles or so, all bolts were intact including the ones 99mx5 had trouble with on the IAC. I learned a long time ago not to over torque small screws working on various business machines. I've never had anything come loose either.

Edit: Cheap Chinese deck screws that break in half before the head gets to the wood don't count.

Now if I could learn to watch my gauges on the track, I should be in good shape if my engine runs again.

Ive had an IM top plate bolt come loose before. I also found one cracked bolt during one of the times I removed the blower. As for the IAC bolts, Ive broken more than I can remember (4 or 5 times). My current setup cured the IAC problem. I moved the IAC valve to the firewall. It was Ari's experience that led us to move the IAC off the blower and onto the firewall.
