finally got back out to the track, thought I'd share.

for starters, it is important to properly bring your tires up to temperature.

This was my second time running the track in this direction, and the firs time was over a year ago in the rain. so please excuse mt tentativeness in a few corners. Also I had to pedal out onthe front straight to avoid the rev limiter in 5th.

Enjoy!

You need good brakes and tires for that course. :-)

Yes indeed, that stop at the end of the front straight is from ~135mph down to ~65mph. More than a few cars were bleeding their brakes between sessions. =D

I have the Goodwin Big Brake Kit after my learning curve at Firebird and I just had to get from 130 down to 100 or so. After a day at the track, the fluid looks like coffee. :)

I actually boiled my brake fluid at the end of the straight at ASR. The brake pedal went to the floor at the end of the next straight. That experience is definitely an eye opener.

Thankfully if you did lose the brakes, you could blow through the cones and take the oval around.

I was lucky, my xp10/xp8's held up great all weekend. no fade and the ate blue is still blue.

BTW here's part 2
