I got my PC Pro from Tom at FFS two years ago and thought I’d give everyone an update on its performance. I have it installed on my 2002 Miata with a BRP hot side kit. The kit produces about 6psi of boost and has an air/water intercooler as well as a J&S Ultra Safeguard. It replaced the original power card that gave me all kinds of trouble. I had major drivability issues as well as ping. My initial impression two years ago was that I had died and gone to heaven. The car behaved the way I expected and best of all it didn’t ping anymore. Since that time not much has changed. I drive the car like I would any other and don’t worry anymore about ping or if the car is going to stall at the next traffic light. Last weekend I found a twisty road and opened it up for about a two mile run. I monitored my wideband and found it stayed between 11.7 and 12.1 whenever I was on the gas. I tuned the PC Pro on a dyno two years ago and nothing has changed. I’m impressed that it hasn’t needed any additional tweaking and hasn’t failed. When it comes to engine management reliability is important. The PC Pro fits my set it and forget it mentality and has worked flawlessly for the last two years.

I'm sure if you post over on the "other" forum a couple of people would love to tell you why you shouldn't love it. I'm with you though. Simple, reliable, efective.... what's not to love.

Silverstreak,

Will you share your PC-Pro settings? I have a BRP hotside with a FFS 100mm pulley and PC-Pro on the wife's 10AE. Only recently with this cold spell have I heard a hint of ping when I stomp the pedal. I need to tweak it on the dyno.

Thanks,
Jose

Just saw Silverstreaks post and if you changed the car to a 2003 CS, my response would be exactly the same. In fact, I think I got my first settings from Silverstreak before I hit the dyno 2 years ago.

Yep, I know I shouldn't have done it

My settings are as folllows:
yellow/blue 8
red/blue 8
green 2
yellow 6,7
red 4,5

While our cars have similar set-ups our injectors and ECU's aren't the same. I spent $100 for an hour on the dyno and it was worth it.

Jose,

Make sure the vac/boost line is still connected to the card. Make sure the blue light still comes on the card in boost. If you didn't get a bad tank of gas, you shouldn't have ping at 6PSI.
