Well I am ready to get the car back on the dyno. I want to get the maximum protection with a decent amount of performance.

Protection from having to worry about detonation is far important for me than performance/

So I wonder what you are ideas are on setting it up with both the J&S and FFS Timing Card.

You should be aware that the J&S I have was sent to J&S for an update by the seller. The seller told me that "the update allows a set amount of iming to be taken out under load, which allows more stock timing (e.g. 14 degres) to be used for off-boost driving. This mode is very useful as the the theory is it requires more timing retard to eliminate knock once it occurs. Regarding timing before knock occurs is more efficient and will result in more power and lower exhaust gas temperature."

This is all greek to me.

After talking to Tom I am going to set the AFR at 11.0 to 11.5.

Any ideas you can give me and which a mimwhit like me can understand? :stuart:

If the J&S has been set up in a manner that does not help me or could interfere with the Timing Card, I will have no reservations about selling the J&S.

I talked to Gordon about the J&S and he was not sure what the benefit would be with the Timing Card. As I understand it the Timing Card regulates the amount of fuel injected.

Thanks

As both devices are going to try and pull timing, I'm not sure they will actually work together?

We ship the Timing card set to Green = 0, Yellow = 1.5 and Red =2.5. Good place to start.

As I understand it the Timing Card regulates the amount of fuel injected.

The Timing Card regulates the amount of timing pulled. Nothing to do with fuel.
