The wire that comes from the clock spring (under the steering wheel) and it goes to the horn pad.
One end @ the clock spring has a special clip and the other end just goes into slide on clip on horn pad. Does any one KNOW where I can get this wire. MAZDA doesn't sell them unless you buy a whole new steering wheel asembly from them and the mazda dealer wasn't even sure it would come with that.. Whats up with that??

Well put in new wire still no horn even though that wire was not right.
But the ribbon wire inside the clock spring was also damaged. Had to fix that also. Does anyone know if you can order a new clock spring and How much $ ? most of mazda's parts you can not order unless you order the whole unit for way too much money.

Thom,

Why not look for the parts used, at a place like Mazmart or something. You could even post up on Miata.net looking to buy someone's used steering wheel.

Well no parts to be found. does anyone know if and how to get this clock spring. Mazdato try and buy single parts just don't seem to have any for sale.

Like Try to get the cap for the power wire to the altenator. you have to buy a whole wiring harnes for 2600.00 to get a 2.00 part. ya right like thats going to happen.

The one wire in the clock spring inside the steering column that controlled
the horn was broke So my friend we will call him the l ittle Mcguiver
solidered and copper wire to one side of the break to the other side of the clip and it is fixed. But would like to but a new or newer clock spring for a 05 MSM if anyone knows where to get it. I have checked dealers and places on the net.
