I performed the Hard Brake Pedal modification on my car about a month ago. Almost immediately I started getting the 1141 error code (rear O2 sensor heater failing). So after clearing the code 4 or 5 times over the next three weeks I decide to bother Tom to get his opinion. We talked and both agreed there is no way the Hard Brake Pedal modification could cause this error code. So I order a replacement O2 Sensor from a company in CA (they only charge $28 for a 4-wire Bosch O2 sensor) and wait.
Go figure after ordering the part, the error code has never returned. All you have to do is order the parts and the problem is magically cured.
