Here are the latest descriptions of the adjustments on cards shipped since early April 2009.

Can anyone give me a quick explanation of what the Timing Card lights?
I just finished hooking up my Timing Card, and found it hard to watch the lights while driving under boost. When I turn it on, the left most green light is lit and it sometimes blinks. Under boost, the other lights to the right will light up green or a yellow/red and the right most light will sometimes be blue.
All my interweb searches have just turned up information on how to adjust the Timing Card and not what the lights mean.
Any help is appreciated.

The lights function as follows:
1) When the key is in the "ON" position or when cranking the engine, the Main and E-Cool cards will have the leftmost and rightmost lights blinking alternately. On the Timing Controller the light will move left to right and back again.
2) Once started, on all of the cards, the leftmost green light will be on with an occasional regular interval blink. This indicates the card is getting the crank angle signal.
3) On all of the cards, the Blue light at the right indicates when the card is seeing boost and thus when it is "Active". "Active" meaning that the Main and E-Cool cards are adding fuel and the timing controller is retarding timing.
4) When the card is Active the color of the LEDs means what "Zone" the card is in. Green, Yellow and Red means the low rpm, mid rpm and high rpm zones respectively. The number of LEDs that are lit indicates the following parameters depending on the card:
Pulsewidth - The indicates how long the main injectors are being held open before they are modified by the card. 8 lights = 20 millisec
Psi - Indicates the boost pressure. 8 lights = 12psi on the Main Card, 15psi on the E-Cool Card
Rpm - Indicates the rpm. 8 lights = 7500rpm
The Main and E-Cool cards have used Psi as the LED display, but those with the latest reflash show the Pulsewidth on the Main card. The Timing Card shows the Rpm as the LED display.

Thanks Bill.
I don't have a pc pro. My kit has an elf controller, so that's why all these pretty lights were new to me :)

I am very confused about the functions on the PC-Pro card lights (Main, E-Cool and Timing).
The instruction manuals does not say anything about it.
I can see that the functions has changed after "latest reflash".
(What is latest reflash?)
Do they show Rpm, Pulsewith, Psi or what ?
It would be nice if you could tie the information to the version number of the SW.
Thank you.

The lights indicate boost on both fuel cards and rpm on the timing card. To be honest this aspect of the cards I have found to be pretty useless and thus I didn't elaborate about it in the instructions. The only light that really matters for diagnostics is the blue light. If it comes on, it indicates the card is actively adding fuel/retarding timing, and thus working.

If the fuel card measure boost, I find it quite useful.
(You wrote "latest reflash show the Pulsewidth on the Main card" above)
I would like to know how much boost my card is reading.
(My engine is pinging and I like to have as much info from the system as possible)
So how much boost is one light.
(My main card shows 6 lights)
I still think you should put this info in the instructions alongside the different SW versions.
Thanks
Erik

(My card shows 6 lights at most)
I have tried to search this forum for an answer, but I cant find the info.

Bill is the best to answer both of those questions. ThomS, I think when he turned off the function of the G, Y, R on the 5th injector card, he disabled the lights as well. I think all you get is the blue?

Does anybody have an answer ?

I checked the files and all of the PC Pros display boost pressure with the LEDs. They do have different amount of boost displayed though because a different boost range is given for the cards. The boost that corresponds to 8 LEDs for each card is as follows:
E-Cool: 8 LEDs = 15psi, 2psi/LED
Timing: 8 LEDs = 15psi, 2psi/LED
Main (Coldside): 8 LEDs = 12psi, 1.6psi/LED
Main (Hotside): 8 LEDs = 9psi, 1.2psi/LED

Just to prevent any confusion I have also uploaded the latest PC Pro instructions in this thread.

It has come to my attention that the new files may cause a minor problem when you try to program them in the pre-FFS labeled cards. It turns out that there is a simple soultion.
1) Load any of the older files that use the older 'key'.
2) Before hitting the "Program" button, click on "tools" and "Remove Write Protection".
3) Program the card with the older file and key.
4) Load the new file using the new key and program.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
