Return from LA in the 99

Made good time on the return trip from LA on the previous trip in the 99 and it wasn't even breathing hard. ;)

Surprised the guy in the SLK and the other one in the Mitsu Spyder. :) All I could think of was the old 50s song "Beep beep. Beep beep. His horn went beep, beep, beep." "How do I get this out of second gear?" The Rambler and the Caddy song if anybody remembers. LOL

Oh yea, I forgot, my wife no longer lets me type on my PDA as I drive at "high speeds" so that is my excuse if I don't respond to your email fast enough.

Now that was top down of course, right? Is it hard to keep up a conversation at that speed?

I'm curious, what was your reliable Miata speedometer reading? By the way....that's pretty freakin' fast! :D

When I put the 3.636 diff in, it was off about 4-5%. I corrected it by bigger tires. At 80 it is dead on. At 120 it is off less than 1 but I was so busy typing a message to Ari on my PDA when that was happening, I didn't look at the speedo. ;)
