I killed my ECU. What are the chances If I put a new one it will happen again? I killed it when I finsihed the SC install and left the power wire of the altenator and test drove the car. It fried my computer. NOt sure if any other wires got it too.

I thought you were driving it around after you solved the alternator issue. How do you know you fried it?

I feel for you my friend. When I opened the wiring harness above the fuel rail I unknowingly knicked the insulation on a wire going to the IAC valve. It ended up frying that circuit on the ECU. Shop around the net for junkyards. They're all over the place for about $125.

Not sure yet. It did long time ago, but the ECU telling it to over charge it, might have hurt it now. It will be getting tested at yet another shop tomorrow and if ok then check out or re-do the wiring harnes. If not that I think I will just shoot myself.
