Bill will send #5 your direction. We did bat your name around earlier but weren't sure. Guess we should hace gone with our hunches. :)

Very interested. Can you scale the boost sensor in the PCPRO Main higher than 12psi.

Yes, I have scaled it to 15psi and I believe Tom has scaled it up to 18psi.

By any chance, has anyone tried this with 64-bit Vista?

I use it on Vista, no problems.

There are only 5 in stock right now. I think there is one left with no name on it. Email rapidly. :)

Just got the programmer right now. It's funny, I got the delivery email and ran outside but no box. The UPS guy accidentally delivered it to some lady's house down the road and she brought it back to my house apologizing for thinking it was her's at first.

One question now, does the programmer come with the USB cable? Because I think I have to go find that lady's house but I'm not sure where she lives.

It doesn't come with the USB cable since I figure that is a standard part available at most local stores. If you want me to send you one let me know. You likely can get a much better price locally though on that I think.

Thanks but no Tom. The only problem I have is dragging out the 100lb box of computer cables out of storage. I should be able to find one or two dozen. ;)

One question about your updated firmwares. I see that "Bill main" types have been replaced with a "Mian verXXX" naming convention whereas XXX refers to the model years but what does "Main_9405HS_001" mean?

FormerDatsun510Man

The Main_9405HS_ver001 means it is the Main Card for '94-'05 Hotside Kits, version 001.

Bob/Tom,

I received my programmer and reflashed my PCPro. Very easy... Thanks.

I have an 02 LS, with a M45 hotside w/62.5mm nose pulley, stock injectors and no e-cool. I do have water/meth injection, switchable for testing. No AFR (I know). I get about 7-8 psi at 7k rpm.

I flashed it with the Main_9405HS_ver002 hoping to eliminate the need for the WI. With the default settings of 4-6-6, 5k rpm and above pinged like mad. My ear has become very atuned to knock and it took a setting of 7-8-8 to eliminate it.

If I understand the graphs, Is possible I am not getting enough fuel at my lower psi at higher rpm's?

I saw that an 8psi file had been developed with the older code, but none listed in the lastest update.

Is there a chance that an 8psi flash can be made availble. I'm not comfortable with the card being maxed out, with no wiggle room.

Or, if I'm on the wrong track.... any guidance would be great!

Thanks!

Gary

The HS file has the boost maxing out at 9psi which should work well on a Hotside. With settings of 8 lights on the Y-B and R-B, you can be sure that you have the main injectors hitting 100% before redline.

Have you verified your air/fuel ratio with a wideband?

Is your setup intercooled? If so, is it an air/water or air/air?

----------------------------

None of the above. Have WI, but tune (by a very good ear) with it off.

07 was my last flash. The new flash (although a different algorithm) seems to be maxxed out for me. Leaving little wiggle room if it gets really hot here.

On a warm day, I only read 6psi boost (not nine). M45 is not a powerhouse, but, it is what I have to work with.

I guess I am asking of you can tweak a flash file that max's fuel out at 6psi for me to try.

Appreciate it, thanks.

Well I've been away for a little while, almost 2 yrs since I got my kit and the car has been parked for quite a while.
I'm looking to get it back on the road so thought a dyno set up would be a good place to start. My question is,
Do I need to update/re-flash my cards
With my location in mind, the UK, what is my best option should updates be needed?
I'm running a standard kit pulleys on my 94.
Thanks in advance
Colin

Wouldn't hurt to re-flash them. Drew is in the UK and he has a programmer. He would probably do it for you if you asked.
