There is an ad up for the R4 system, did the old one get deleted?

Yup, I felt bad that I may have contributed to Roberts thread being deleted.
I figured I'd ask a legitimate question, but apparently, the kool-aid drinkers won't allow it. After I was called a "MOFO" and a "gay" on two different threads, I was given a four day suspension from M.Net by Gary F for "clearly trying to stir up as much trouble as possible".
I was also accused by J_Man of (paraphrasing) sucking up to Tom so I can still be his friend. He C & P a post where I said that I get to use Tom's nice airconditioned garage and his pool whenever I want as evidence of this.
Of course there was this post by notoriousdjw that sounds exactly like what I said but referring to Brant that was never questioned:
How many vendors offer a cell phone number to call on the weekend of your install? How many put you up for the night in the guest room of their house? How many ship an extra belt or part "no questions asked" when an install hits a snag?

I really would like someone at M.Net to explain to me why it's "supporting a vendor" when they talk about BRP (or FM or any othyer vendor), but it's "shilling" when I talk about Tom @ FFS?

Oh and I was also banned from BRP Forums (permanently probably) right after starting a thread asking if they were still selling the S1 kit for the same price and if they were now taking orders.
Oh well.

"kool-aid drinkers" FWIW, when your new thread asked if the S1 kit was still "rated" at xxx hp it seemed quite apparent that you were questioning the rating of the kit. Gary figured you were wanting to continue to stir up trouble, rather than asking a legitimate question - obviously, others did too. Fact is, Miata.net doesn't shelter its vendors from tough questions (right, Tom? ;) ), but does prevent attacks - and Tom can attest that several posts or threads that were attacks on FFS have been cleaned up and/or deleted. I can attest also, since I've done some of those clean-ups. Face it - if Miata.net was protecting BRP, then the whole "what's wrong with BRP?" discussion would never have been permitted. What they don't allow is attacks, and again, more than a few people thought you'd crossed the line in that respect. Honestly, now, I have to agree. It's all a question of approach.
Re being a "shill" - I hate that accusation/label, but it's not being made by anyone associated with Miata.net! Statements of support for a vendor are fine, and I like to see them - but where some people take exception seems to be when those are concurrent with statements attacking a competing vendor. Tom earned kudos for a post here suggesting it wouldn't be fair or proper to gloat about another vendor having problems - you didn't help your case there by gloating here about BRP's problems! It just reinforced the "troublemaker" impression.
FWIW, my impression is that Tom has been doing a very good PR job after the initial slips back in March at the time of the split with BRP, and I'm seeing quite a few posts attesting to his great customer service and support. FFS is establishing itself as another quality vendor in the Miata marketplace

Gord,
I don't know where you got the idea that I asked about the HP rating of the S1 kit. In the thread I started in M.Net and BRP, I asked,
So will the S1 kits still be $2495? And are you now accepting orders?
Besides, even if I did questioned the HP rating, you don't think that's a legitimate question?
As for the kool-aide comment, what else would you call someone who is given evidence of someone's wrong doing from the horses mouth and yet still swallow everything without question?
I've always said that the long wait times between order and receipt of BRP's kits is not a normal MO of a FI vendor. In the statement by Brant after reopening his Forum, he admitted that he "simply did not have the funds to keep the doors open". Also, "since we will finally have the financial backing we have desperately needed for the last 18 months; you should soon see huge improvements in customer service, product availability and project completion times.".
I interpret that as admission that he did not have the money to deliver on the kits that he took a deposit for. Also, he did have the money, why didn't he simply give refunds when people asked?
Also, my opinions are MY opinions and it is completely unfair to label my (admitted) ranting as those of a mouthpiece for FFS as J_Man and others have done.

Gord,
Please show me where I "gloated" about BRP's problems?

The good news though is that with Barker in the picture, people will finally be getting what they paid for in a timely manner without the bullshit runaround.
And one last thing. I've often wondered why it was that the people who have been promised week after week or even months that their kit will be ready next week or the week after that, or even the people who were owed refunds don't come forward. Well, now I know. BRP can do no wrong and if you dare question them, well look at the way I'm treated.
As Jack Beauchamp has mentioned, there were 21 people who PMed him about refunds or kits not received. Out of those 21 people, only ONE person spoke up - Pigmalean.

Well, we'll let you keep posting here. :)
However, I think this thread has gone far enough, so I will close it. I know that several vendors are as happy as I am that there is new financial backing. Perhaps we will get paid now.
