I want to remove my 6 spd and install a '94 5spd for autocross purposes (2nd gear six speed 55mph vs. 67mph second gear 5 spd)
I want to insure that I have all the change over parts that I need. I still have the spare trans out of my '94. I read that I will need the speedometer drive from a car with a 4:10 rear end. What else? Drive shaft? PPF?
Have any others in our group done this?
Comments from you SSM guys, good or bad Idea? Ralph, what do you think?
Thanks,
Jack

Check the starter motor, this different. I'm looking to swap a 5spd to a 6 spd and I was told that going from a 5 to a 6 the same starter motor could be used by leaving a bolt out but I did not like that idea so I got the 6spd starter motor.

Also the engine back plate is different.

I believe the rest is the same but I have not done my swap yet so can't confirm.

How do you get 67 mph out of second gear. Have you raised your redline?

24" dia tire, 1.888 second gear, 3.909 diff, 7000RPM = 67.7 mph
