:D When will it happen?
Actually just an update of sorts, have over 12k miles on the kit now and still perfect! And no Tom...I haven't gotten around to putting that shiny new pulley on yet, but soon.

When I read the header, I figured it was a come-on. ;) I think it will take Bochinam and his Cold Fusion to make 300 with a coldside. Or Whatshisname in Florida witha 100 shot of nitrous. :)

When will it happen?
I thought it already had, two years ago--August 8th, 2004. RJW's MP62 coldside Big Gulp dyno was 342 rwhp and 310ft/lbs at 21 PSI.
Is there some reason it does not qualify?

Yep he was the 'what's his name' above. He gets first place. Nitrous and all. ;)
I think Tronman was referring to one of ours and was tongue-in-cheek as was I.

Yeah, I was being facetious. But I have been looking at a few upgrades...that there nitrous stuff everybody talks about sounds interesting...mwahahah.
But I'm betting sooner or later someone is going to post a 250rwhp at least dyno on a coldside without some fancy smaancy nitrous...

The problem is that I can't build a dyno queen. If I build it, people expect to buy it, install it on a stock engine, drive to work 5 days a week in stop and go traffic, full out race on Saturday and drive to church on Sunday. They expect it to have unlimited life and cost $3700. Others have built 300WHP kits and sold them for $12-15K with built engine included. I really think that is not my target market and see no value to being able to shout how I made 300WHP on a built engine with a little help from a 100 shot of nitrous and all it cost me was $15,000. I'll pass. ;)
The problem with a lot of small businesses is failure to focus on their target market and remain focused. Failure to do so can cause financial distress and ruin of the company. My target market is as perfect a daily driver and weekend warrior that I can produce for a fair and equitable price that has enough profit that I can afford to keep making it and supporting it. I'll gladly leave the one of dyno queens for others.

Exactly Tom, and I think you are dead on for the target market with this kit. I've let a few people drive mine(not many, and well chosen) and nobody can believe how perfect the feel is from bypass to boost, if it wasn't for the sudden jump to warp drive and the whine from under the hood you'd never know the car wasn't designed this way from the factory!
I am a bit of a HP nut I suppose, and will be putting the big pulley on soon(alternator died on the car last week, sounds like a good excuse to put on a pulley at the same time) to get a bit more, but...I am in the early planning stages of planning my next project...
If anyone knows of a nice 90-97 Miata with a blown engine or no engine...or tranny...I'd be interested.
