Who says it doesn't take hp to turn a turbine! :P
I recall something being said about the transfer of heat from the turbine to the compressor is basically "zilch".

I don't understand. Joe says that SC's make more heat than turbos. Maybe this is that orange cold I've heard about.
I can envision the paint on the hood bubbling up...

Thats exactly why I never wanted a turbo. Waaaaaaaay too much heat. An that glowing block of iron is just a short distance from the driver. God forbid you have an accident or catastrophic failure.
Good luck checking the oil without asbestos gloves!

Now I know why manifolds crack, and why cam ovelap is a problem (back pressure!!!).

Yes, but not so bad. The higher the boost, the greater the restriction the hotter it gets. I think the MSM is only about 5PSI.
