Damn this dial-up modem. I took 15 minutes to download 1 1/2 min. , but what I saw was cool. I have fibr optics going in next month so I can catch the rest.

It's a shame that slow blue Miata held you up so long

Where is everyone? There is no traffic on the track.

That little blue Miata was only waiting for that Mitsubishi to get out of his way. ;) As it was a fun day, you were not allowed to pass unless the driver signaled OK. I could have passed it easily but rules are rules.

What Ari's video doesn't show is the car that was behind him. When I signaled to pass and let Ari play leader for awhile, I also signaled the next car. However, making decisions was not one of his strong points. He waited until we were almost at the end of that short straight. Then decided to put the pedal to the floor. Needless to say, he also got some off-road experience. He made the correct decision and DIDN'T try to make the left turn at the end of that straight. :) The rules also required that, if you gave the signal to pass, you were required to not race them to the turn. I slowed almost to a stop waiting for him to go and would have stopped before making the left. Did I mention he was running a HUGE Chrysler 300C. 5000 pounds in motion that I was not going to cut off.

It was a really fun day.

When I got on the track I caught up to the group (a Honda CRX was holding up all the faster cars). After Tom let me pass, I was at the head of the pack. There was a white RX7 that you can catch a glimpse of in the mirror. After a few laps, he left the track, then a grey 300C SRT (also visible in the mirror) was behind me. He would catch me at the end of the straight and I would lose him in the turns. I got loose going too fast into the turns and hitting the throttle too hard exiting turns at times. I was riding on Falken Azenis RT215 (205/50-15).

I knew it was you Tom! I was just having fun.

I'm off to the OVR autocross in Columbus now, it's about a two hour drive so I have to leave early. It's being held in the OSU Stadium parking lot. I hope most of the drunks got their RVs off the lot since the game yesterday.
