View Full Version : CEL 0420 fix?

For those of us with a high flow cat and a cel 0420 light. I found this item on ebay. Seems like it might work. It pulls the second O2 sensor back out of the exhaust flow so that it reads cleaner. I wonder if it really works?

Chuck bought a pair of PSO2Sim modules and gave me one. I wired it up yesterday in one of the three suggested methods but it didn't work. Will try another version of wiring when I pull the PC-Pro (if I pull the PC-Pro :)).

I can't beleive it. All I had to do is order the part off ebay and I haven't had a 0420 cel code since. I haven't installed the part yet. Just the act of spending money on my car fixes things!

I had the same 0420 cel light appear every other day after clearing it for over a month. Now it hasn't come on in over three weeks. Go figure :?

I finally got my cel back a few weeks ago and installed the part off ebay. No cel codes since.

I'll post again if it comes back on.

I read about that trick on a honda forum after a friend showed me. It is two spark plug anti foulers chained together with the upper one drilled with a 1/2 drill bit.

A lot. :) I made it a target worth the quest. The Octane ranks were my idea and the boost levels were 99mx5's (Ari) idea.

BoOsted (Steve) lives up there and is back home with his 200WHP hotside.

Well, I did the 2 spark plug foulers trick on my no cat midpipe. Might work on a high flow cat but not on a no cat midpipe. Took less than 100 miles for the light to come back.
