My Power Pulse muffler has stopped being stealthy thanks to the new header. A stock muffler from a 99-00 from a junkyard will most likely have a bunch of miles on it so I thought I'd see if a '04 might fit a '00? Anyone try it?

Pat,
All of the aftermarket mufflers are listed as common for 99-05 except MS turbo. I've been thinking of doing the same thing after installing an 01 tubular exhaust. Too loud. I still have my original 99 muffler, which is actually in pretty good shape. Sport Imports in NoHo has a ton of exhaust parts if you need something.

The header will fit but you will have to change the EGR tube, because the 99-00 EGR tube has a male fitting and the 01+ has a female fitting.

Yah, got the header in with a new EGR tube, which by the way was easily done since the EGR adaptor is so easy to get at after a Coldside install. I got an e-mail from a M.net member with a '99 muffler with 6,100 miles on it. Do you guys think the 04-05 would be quieter or the same?

Which EGR do you use with the 01+ exhaust on the 99-00 ??

you just use a 01+ EGR tube. Got mine from Brian Goodwin.

Wayne,
The tube only changes, the valve is the same.
