Sorry, but the ride home from work today was just soooo good I had to say something. The car ran so smoothly in and out of boost, stop-n-go traffic, screaming up the onramp then settling down to a 70 mph cruise...... It is a joy to own and drive. I read so much about the compromises I'd be making with FI ownership. The only compromise I make is in the healthier exhaust note.
In fact I've been so happy with this SC system that I'm taking it down to the SanDiego Miataclub meeting next Thursday. Looking forward to giving some test drives and show-and-tell. Ok you can start with the shill comments.

Socal Pat you got it all wrong...
You're supposed to bitch and whine about the headaches of FI and let people discover that they're not true. ;)

I meant in general. Meaning that if everyone gets one then we'll lose our advantage! ;)

But I gotta tell you that it is a real joy to drive this car now. the power is outstanding. Side note no codes for vcts after 30 cold starts or about 2500 miles. Sorry Tom

5k miles and about 10 months since the install. I haven't had a single problem. We have 5-6 other S/C setups in the club, mine being the only coldside. When we get together, I listen to them talk about idle dip, belt tracking / alignment issues, oil consumption..... I just stand back and grin.

Isn't that the truth! Everyone who has driven mine gets an almost quizical look. They just can't fathom that it is running "like that".
