View Full Version : Fuel Pressure Regulator Test

Before installing the fuel pressure regulator on the new fuel rail, blow through the unit from the short nipple end. If air flows freely, then the FPR is bad.

Even though it worked fine on my car when it was normally aspirated, the fuel pump does not have the capacity to handle a boosted engine with a bad FPR.

This is not a definitve test, but an easy way to quickly determine if the unit is bad.
