If you have to remove your blower for some reason *cough*. I found that it is easiest to use a 2x4 jammed between the blower and valve cover to pry the blower to break the ultrablack seal to separate it from the intake manifold.

Stand a two or three foot long 2x4 piece of wood between the blower and valve cover at the part of the valve cover where the timing belt is. Then, pry the blower off the IM by pivoting the wood towards the driver side to slide the blower sideways. This should break the seal that holds the plate on the manifold.

Now you tell me. I used a rubber mallet. Not the most elagant way, but works well.

You could either remove the blower and spacer and leave the top plate on the IM or remove all the top plate bolts and remove the blower with the top plate.

You need more than a 2x4 if you don't pull the bottom bolts too. I'm just guessing.

Yup.
Im assuming that the all the bolts that hold the blower and spacer or top plate are removed. I'll feel sorry for the guy who thinks he can remove his blower with only a 2x4. ;)
