pat. All you need is the PC-Pro sealed as non-adjustable, a 105mm pulley (I'm sure it is there somewhere :)) and the bracket and sticker.

Guess there's only going to be celebrating with beer and $4 champagne and no Saleabration. :svengo:
But congratulations on the start first delivery! :grouphug: You look none the worse for wear dealing with "the" state :ack2:

Well, the good news is that I'm not going to raise the price of the kits. But, I have thought of shipping the kit without the engraved bracket and sticker. Then sell them seperately for another $3700. ;)

Ever thought about sitting on the corner with a small table, a pea and 3 walnut shells ??? :shifty:
Since I'm not single, I've been trying to figure this all out in a stealthy kind of way :drool5:
Hmmm.... So if I have the kit shipped out of state I'd pay no tax. Then I could drive to AZ for other purposes and have you guys install it. Hmmm...
Why! Why! I have no idea HOW that thing got on the engine! Honest!!!

Pat, I wish. This year will be a great year. Lots of Californians lining up.
Red, you could always just buy my 05. Of course it is only 186WHP. ;) I could meet you at the border, your side of course, and hand over the kit to save taxes. Then you could follow me back for the install. We don't charge for "Tom's Hotel" either.

Nice idea, but I noticed your car isn't a Vivid Yellow one  :)
The meet at the border sounds very promising but a lot of miles for you to drive. The upside is I wouldn't get lost following you back though.... major bonus !
I'm thinking there's a convention I may be going to in (omg! ) July. Maybe spending an extra day back there would be a great opportunity. I'll have to work on that.
Thanks for the ideas :)

Just took out the JRSC from the car and waiting for the UPS man... going to start working on it ASAP and hopefully I'll be done by this weekend.

Well, I am sorry but I may have just ruined your weekend. You can get it all installed because the TPS can be last with no problem but we just discovered the last couple kits that shipped got a TPS adaptor that was cut wrong. I will have new ones ASAP early next week and overnight it to you but you will not be running this weekend. I am so sorry.

It's not a big deal Tom, thanks for the heads up. The goal is to get it running by the 21st so I can take it on its maiden voyage autocross.

I am guessing they will ship Tuesday or Wednesday and I will send them UPS NDA.
I sometimes forget a part in a kit but this is the first time I had a part that was made wrong. This will NEVER happen again, until the next time. :) Seriously, we have a lot of checks and balances and this one simply slipped through the cracks.

Ok, I have been reading through everything I could find on your site and I still am not clear on the PC Pro vs. Power Card that is included with the FFS kit. Are they the same? Or is the PC Pro an upgrade? And the plug & play wire harness that is extra ($200) with the PC Pro, is it included in the FFS kit?
I probably missed the explanation somewhere but please bear with me. (Yes, that is an old Alaskan joke)
I am very interested in boosting my 2000 but Alaska does require the CARB approval so I have not yet seen it as possible, until now that is.
I drive my car year round here in Anchorage (hardtop & Blizzaks in the winter) so I need something that is ABSOLUTELY reliable and will run as well as stock even when it is -25 degrees. Or at least run ok when it gets that cold. It is usually only a couple weeks that it gets that cold in town. Some years we hardly see much below zero. Of course we do have months of below freezing temps. But how manageable is the power delivery at low rpm's? I often have to shift at 2500 rpm just to keep from spinning the wheels on the ice.
I am very glad to see you achieved the CARB approval.

I have had both a PC and a PC-Pro on my FFSC and the Pro is an upgrade. No more overrich tip in. You should feel absolutely, NO-ZERO, difference between stock and the FFSC kit until you hit boost. You can tip-toe around on ice at 2500 rpm with no trouble.

The kits ship with two PC-Pros pre-wired to the plug in harness. One for the main fuel and one for E-Cool. There is no change in the kit price.
Alaska actually requires the CARB stickers? Cool. :) We've got 'em.
Well, I have no personal experience with the kit in snow. We did see flakes in the air the other day for the first time since 1968 but none of it actuall got the last 2 feet to the ground. :) Power delivery with the Coldside is smooth and linear but there is a lot of it. You may be starting in 3rd to stop from spinning them.

Tom,
Jaglite's confusion may be due to the reference to the original "PowerCard", not the PC-Pro on the "What You Get" page of your site.

Thanks. I thought I had fixed those already. It is gone now.
I still need to figure out how to make the store work correctly and I'm still looking for someone to tell me how to get a rotating banner on the top of the forum.
If anybody spots any more errors like that, let me know. Thanks

Thanks guys, I am glad to see it wasn't a total brain fade on my part. There may have been others who were like me in a state of confusion (where I live). So TWO PC Pro's, eh? Neat!
I should correct my mistake, it is Anchorage that has the CARB requirement, other Alaskans are encouraged to get the I.M. inspection "voluntarily" to keep the air clean. Yeah, right! Some who live in town register their cars at an out of town address to try to circumvent the law. There is a fine if they get caught. Also those who commute in from the valley (about 50 miles or so) are supposed to get an I.M. tag. Few do though. Surprise.
Ah, but do they enforce it you wonder? Let me tell you:
Last year a friend took the stock supercharger off his (new!) Mustang and installed a bigger pump. It has the CARB approval so no problem. He also put on a complete new exhaust system from the heads to the tail pipe as well as a few other performance upgrades that put him over 400hp at the wheels. But the headers did not have the CARB seal of approval. He tuned it on the local dyno and it ran great! Since most muscle cars, and sports cars for that matter, are what we call "red stickered" meaning they are only driven May-October and therefore are not required to go through the I.M. test and inspection every two years, they only have to be inspected once, when applying for the "red sticker". His Mustang passed the I.m. test with excellent numbers but when asked for the paperwork proving CARB approval for his many modifications, he could not produce one for the headers. They told him he had to remove them.
The next day, his wife calls him at work to come home, the FBI is searching the house, impounding his car, and taking all files and paper work he has for the Mustang. This is a car that was about 3 months old! He went home and sure enough, he was public enemy #something or other. The car was impounded even though he had not driven it since the I.M. test. He had to get a lawyer, go to court, pay the towing and impound, pay a fine, pay his lawyer, remove the headers, and have it reinspected. All this is for a car that is a garage queen that only gets at most 1,000 miles on it during the summer like the others he has owned over the past 15 years. And the headers had the bungs for the sensors and everything that would be required to get the CARB approval and everything was hooked up properly.
So you can see that CARB approval is important to me. I like my 2000 Miata better than the new MX5 and I would prefer to boost the power in it rather than buy a new MX5. Of course I do like the folding hard top of the new one. Maybe if, or when, Mazda comes out with the Mazdaspeed MX5 with the turbo 2.3 engine that is in the Mazdaspeed 3 I will be more tempted to buy new.
Thanks again for the clarification :gnorsi:
