Welcome to Chris in Australia. His 2002 will be the first Aussie Miata to have REAL fun. ;)

Thanks Tom,

Hey guys, I'm so happy to soon be part of the coldside family. The service from Tom has been nothing less than spectacular.

From the day I bought my car I always wanted to supercharge it, but couldn't find a kit that supported my Racing Beat header. I was excited when the Vortech SC and Flyin Miata kit came out...but none impressed me as much as this one for simplicity and value for money.

Mine will be the first boosted Titanium Edition MX5 in Australia!

YEAH! EFFIN YEAH!

Just wait 'til it's in and running. SMOOOOOTH and civil. You made a fine choice. Welcome to the club!

I received confirmation from my freight forwarder that the kit has been shipped. :)

I'm reading the installation instructions over and over again. My brother who has a Evolution Gold (Evolution Orange in the US) will be installing it and I'll be bringing the lemonade/beer, passing tools, holding stuff..... :gunsmilie:

I think my brother is using me as the guinea pig and then he'll probably get the kit himself.

For the others who have done the install, what did you find to be the hardest part of the install? :sweatdrop:

I thought it all went as expected. I was warned of the bolts under the manifold but didn't have much problem with them. Hardest part of the install is getting yourself to look it over carefully when what you really want to do is take it out and see what that baby can do.

Typically the lower rear two bolts get the most greif and the wiring for the old Power Card and SS got second place. Now the PC and SS is plug-in so that is not a problem. That leaves the two lower rear nuts on the manifold.

I'd have to say one of the best tips was to remove the oil filter. The first thing I did was to drop the old oil, remove the filter and then tape a big sign on the steering wheel that said "PUT OIL BACK IN IDIOT!!". Never understate the power of stupidity.

That said, those lower intake manifold nuts were a bitch! I almost cried with joy when the last one "Cracked!" loose, instead of stripping!

Ah yes, brings back memories. It's with a tear in my eye that I say I won't be doing the re-install into my new '03. I had my mechanic take it off the '02 that was totalled and he's going to put it on the '03 in the spring....and put in motor mounts...and who knows what else....

Congrat's Chris, and welcome to the FFS family. Do we get to refer to you as "Thunda from Down Unda!" ??

That's what I tell people when they ask how hard mine was to install. I tell them I dropped it off at Mike's Place on one day and picked it up the next and it was painless. ;-)

I think more people have had a hard time getting the old nuts off than replacing them on the new manifold.
