Finally got it last weekend from Alabama. Wish I traveled that well! Registered it and it's on the road with the new plates. I had a new Roadster Sport 3 exhaust on it in a day then slapped on some Dunlop Winter Sport M3's so I don't wrap it around a snowy tree. Re-doing the stereo now (full Bosectomy). I'll wait until it warms up again (10 degrees today) before I put the blower back on. Strange to be without a Miata for about a month.

Way to go. Congratulations.

One of my favorite mods for my 99 was a Bosectomy. Radio, amps and speakers. Love it.

COLDSIDE has a double meaning where you live. :) I guess I should change mine to HOTSIDE? :) Then I saw Mike's avitar and all that snow piled up on his Miata and don't know what to say.

Dang! That thing looks nice, especially with the hardtop on it. Well done.

Thanks for the compliments guys. It's an '03, bought it with just over 8K miles on it from a dealer just outside Birmingham. It's a dead ringer for the car that was totalled. My insurance company gave me TOP Dollar for my old car. In the end, I think I'll end up just about even, even with the $1.1K I paid to transport the car.

When I was looking for an NB over 2 years ago I fell in love with the Silver w/Tan interior. A real classy looking combination. Then when I put the hardtop on it, OH MAN! I thought, that really looks good. I went to get in my car after work today, walked up to it from the rear and thought the same thing again! One add'l benefit, Silver cars just about always look clean from 10 ft.

The stereo install is taking a long time again. Don't feel much like working on it in the cold garage. I'm almost done with the passenger door. Why is it that Mazda in their infinite wisdom thinks 8" is a good size for a speaker when the rest of the audio world doesnt?? Hopefully I'll finish it tomorrow, put in the head unit and amp so I'm not left without any sound and then do the driver's door last.

And yes, my "coldside" is pretty cold these days here in the North East. I'll tell ya though, a couple of years ago I got bitten really hard by a bicycling bug. Mostly mountain biking. I ride all year round now. Have a crazy bunch of friends to keep me company though. Our record is riding in 10 degree weather. We don't get the cold wind like road cyclists do. It's amazing how fast your body heats up when your exercising. Once you stop though.... So I've gotten more used to the cold weather, but by the end of February I'm dreaming of May weather and keeping the top down.

Hey Tom, did you get any of that Arizona snow I thought I heard about?

We watched snowflakes fall (and melt) and were told it was the first time since 1968 here in Coolidge.
