Hi all,

I am almost done installing my CS supercharger and was interrested in solutions for routing the throttle cable and for the bracket to the throttle body. I have an early BRP kit so it came with the bracket for the cable that loops over the valve cover.

Any recommendation ? Which solution works the best ? looks the best ?

Thanks a lot and enjoy !!

I originally had the looping cable from the BRP kit and had to add an extension to get it to line up with the throttle (whatever the thing is called that the cable pulls on). It was a length of aluminum angle I had laying around which raised the original plate a few inches and allowed it to angle toward the blower. It worked fine but looked kind of ghetto. Some folks don't like the cable looping around over the engine either.

I put on the pulley version and had trouble with the adjustment range of the cable. A solution for that is to put a small collar over the cable at the pedal to remove a bit of length from the cable. Maybe a quarter of an inch is good.

Warning: If you operate the throttle by hand, the cable will tend to drop off the pulley and get snagged in the bracket. This happened when the "Tech inspector" at a local autocross checked throttle return operation and then tried to shut the hood when finished. Knowing what probably happened I had to jump out of the car;

"wait, don't shut it."
"why not?"
"because you just screwed up my throttle cable." as I put it back in place. Thus causing the condition that they are supposed to be trying to prevent by checking it. It will cause a jammed on throttle.

Is this someting I can use on my hotside for a proper connection to the BTB? Right now my throttle cable is zip-tied to the underbracket.

When I get them done. They will work on the BRP/SOT hotsides as well.

You guys are playing wih my mind, right? Easy there, not much of that left and I need what little there is/was. I made one of the sample brackets and sent it to Mike, I think. Then you are thanking me for it and telling everyone how well it works.

I know I am loosing my mind but please tell me I didn't send it to the wrong place??????????????????????

I finally got the time to install the bracket, as there was a lull in the honey-do list. I tried installing in the mostr logical location, and it fit perfectly, but the cable would not line up with the TB. Is this because I still have the TB 180 degrees out from everyone else?

Do you mean it is on the wrong side of the TB or just a little bit out of line? Mine wasn't exact so I tweaked the bracket a bit to get it lined up. If at first it doesn't fit, get a bigger hammer.

The bracket 'assumes' the throttle cable/control is on the engine side of the blower. If not, you will need to rotate your TB.

OK, I've turned arounrd the TB, but for the life of me I can't figure out how the bracket mounts?

What am I missing? Can you post a pic?

Thanks!

Is this a specific "new" bracket for the hotside only?

We have the bracket for the coldsides re-designed as well but not in production as yet. That bracket I made by hand to test on the hotside. It will also have it's own unique bracket.

And it works perfect, by the way...:scooter:
