I purchased a PC-Pro for my '99 Miata last week. My car has a JRSC-45 on it with an intercooler. I have been fighting a rather bad pinging problem for some time now. The car has been very sensitive to the quality of the gas. I purchased some "93" octane on Friday and could not even get past half throttle without detonation! I think they were cheating with what was in their tanks...

I hooked up the PC-Pro. Installation was a breeze, but you really have to stand on your head to get to the ECU plugs! Gleefully, I disonnected the JR control box and threw it away.

I fired the car up and saw the lights blinking. I took it out for a spirited run and......no detonation. Well, I could get some very minor detonation if I tried to go full throttle with the engine rpm's very low :)

I am going to play around with the settings to optimize, but am very pleased with the initial results. Great product!

I do have one question. Where have people been putting the PC-Pro contoller? Mine is just hanging out under the dash right now.

Mine is tucked just inside the fuse panel. I access it by removing the fuse panel door and let it hang out. This way I make any adjustments necessary and then tuck everything back in and snap the fuse door back on.

Make sure when you stuff it someplace that you don't kink the small black tube. If it kinks, the card will not see boost and not add fuel.
