I'm here, waiting for "the box" to come. I've been planning the install in my head. I've already postponed an oil change because of it. I'll do it as part of the install so I can take off the filter for better access to the back lower IM bolts. I guess Tom told you about my being the latest member of the club.

I was talking vanity plates with Oceanragtop tonight from the Miata.net forum (he was imparting alignment knowledge). I'm not really a vanity plate guy, but if I do one I'm thinking of:

1. Got Bst (7 letter max in NY)
2. It Blows, as in Turbos suck, superchargers blow
3. Cldside

I'm kindof partial to mine "13 SCND". Especially after I hit the 13s on the 1/4 mile. :) Besides, out here we only have the rear plate so it gives me incentive to stay in front of my prey. ;)

My main issue with a vanity plate is if it'll piss off a cop that is thinking of pulling me over. I don't need to provide any incentive.

Maybe all of Tom's customers should go with CLDSIDE (different states). Be easy to spot us. On the cop thread, it may be enough of a conversation starter to grease the skids on a ticket.

I was getting fuel one afternoon and two cops were at the next pump and one came over and asked about the plate and then the other came over. Popped the hood and chatted for probably 10 minutes. They were pretty cool. I have found that cops are people too :) and are pretty easy to get along with unless you smart off.

SCCA officially dropped the 2 from SOLO 2, it's now just SOLO. I just changed my plates from SOLO MX5 to my new plate shown in my first post.

I have a plate BOOST 1 one a turbo MSM 05 but this supercharger on the 02SE Yellow will stay TWET BRD
Being the car Blazing yellow Mica and tweety bird sits inside. Dumb I know but it works.
