How cool is Wayne-n-Fla?!? Is that an aluminum foil helmet you're wearing in your avatar?!? SWEEEET.

Speaking of which, I was arranging a 'Dyno Day' for our local club in the next 2 weeks. Mustang Dynamometer's headquarters is located just up the street, and one of their folks is a member of our club.

He's an engineer by education, and a serious tuner, with a 500+ HP Subaru, so I let him know I'd be bringing up the Miata with the newly-installed FFR CS... He asked a lot of questions... Who developed it... Whose engine management... etc.

I explained the basics, and he was VERY skeptical... He questioned how eCool could work, and said it was likely just DROWNING the car with fuel, etc. Having tuned his Subi quite successfully, he offered to replace the eCool with a 'better' system, using a new engine management system, new this, new that...

I said the AFRs I saw from owners seemed quite in-line, and that my intentions are to run with it as it is, using my time on his dyno to get a baseline and fine-tune the AFR.

He maintained his skepticism, so I simply said, 'Well, I guess you'll have to take it up with Tom!' :D

Yet another cynic on the way to you, Tom! ;)

I am VERRY interested to see how he feels after our Dyno Day... Stay tuned!

Oh great. Another one. ;) Well, when he sees 12:1 on his dyno, maybe he'll give up. Just try and keep the settings as close to the defaults as you can.

As soon as my license from Wayne arrives, I will order some for the Memorial Day visitors to take back home so they will be protected.

Too late. I already have a bullet in my chest that has been there since 1963. Where were you when I needed you? ;)

Tom actually coerced me into readign a thread for the first time in about a year last night.

I think it wise if everyone here consider visiting this site before hopping back onto Miata.net:

Seriously hysterical stuff. The sad part is, I think the guy is dead-serious!

These people, on the other hand, are not:

Google is the best.

I wonder if Bill Clinton had worn one of those, would Hillary have ever known about Monica?
