I attended the SoCal Alfa Romeo Owner's club event at Buttonwillow (http://www.buttonwillowraceway.com/race_14.htm) on the April 1st weekend. As is normally the case, there was a pro photographer there. I couldn't resist buying this picture (http://tinyurl.com/2fgz6j). It was during one of the practice sessions and I got involved with this MR2. Obviously, I am at a distinct disadvantage here, but it was a blast all the same. We are as close to each other as it looks. Somehow we avoided contact.

Those can be scary moments if the other guy isn't a great driver.

Well, I was mostly banking on the understanding that in the Alfa club, making contact is only slightly better than being a child molester :nono:. I knew I could hold my line and I had the dirt to my left if I needed it. I didn't get by him right there, but I outbraked him going into the next corner. After that, he got real small in my mirror real quick.
