Im going to be a ricer.


Seeing as I dont own an miata at the moment, and havent ridden in a s/c miata, my basis for what 200whp feels like is non-existent.

And since I cant get that feeling vicariously through the internet I am going to ask one of those stupid questions

What type of 1/4 mile am I looking at with 200rwhp FFS system? How does 200rwhp compare to say 200rwhp of a stock S2000? I am assuming that since a S/C NB is lighter and has more under the curve power it will be faster than an S2000, but significantly, or just kind of?


I guess what I want to know is who is my competition in a street light race (i dont street race, but it gives me an idea what I am looking at)

Well, from a roll-on on the freeway I'd give a slight edge to the S2000. From a standing 1/4 mile it would come down to driver, tires etc. Check out Dragtimes.com and you will see the S2000 times range from mid 13's to mid 14's. Same as us. This puts you in the ballpark with Mustang GT's, 350Z's, and older WRX's. You can surprise alot of people and be surprised yourself. You never know what the other guy is running.

Its just hard to draw a correlation to what 200whp in a miata feels like when there really arent any cars out there at the same weight and same type of power band.
