Engine is bone stock. Radiator is PWR. Exhaust is stock muffler and high flow midpipe. Pulley is the 110mm and is fine on 91 octane up to 100F. Above 100F it either needs 92 or better octane or a 105mm stock pulley.

I updated the graph to show A/F. It runs right at 12:1 PRE-CAT. That is about the same as 12.5:1 POST-CAT.

Doesn't look like fuel dumping to me.. :P

Hey Tom,

Could you add the specific details on the other dyno sheets as well? I.e. stock car, standard kit, pulley etc.

Pat did his.

Lyle's 99 was a bone stock 99 10AE. He now has a high flow cat (FM?) and a different muffler. He will need to fill in the particulars.

Dan's 94 I think is a bone stock engine. He has done a coolant re-route but I "THINK" everything else is stock (block, head, pistons, etc.).

We really need Lyle and Dan to fill in the particulars. All I can really say is that I think all of these were bone stock engines. My 05, Pat's 99 and Lyles 99 all have 105mm pulleys. My 99 and Dan's 94 have 110mm pulleys. All kits ship with the 105mm pulley unless you specify otherwise. I will substitute a larger pulley at the customers request. Chip's 99 has the 110mm pulley as he asked for it. He is going to dyno soon and I would guess it to be in the 205+WHP range. Unless beaten into submission :) I will only send a larger pulley to a customer with 92 or better fuel and a 94-00 engine. On 91 octane and temps above 100F, the 110 is marginal. On 92+ and temps below 100, I think even the 115 will work. I will test it this week as I have 93 in the '99 right now and the mornings are below 100F if I get out before the sun comes out. :) Then we will have to ask Chip to volunteer to try one. :)

All kits I have shipped are stock except for the 110mm pulley for Dan and Chip and my 99.

Well, thank you Chip. Chip volunteered to try the 115 next week at the dyno. Guess that means I need to do it to my '99 so we have a fuel map to start. Any guesses? 220WHP?

The new Koyo and A/C condensor are finally installed. I will be making an appointment with the dyno for next week. I'll do the 110 pulley first and then try the 115.

Im also upgrading my radiator. Not only because of the added power, but because of the heat of the desert.

I upgraded for track days. Autocross is fine with the stock radiator.

My back is feeling better so I guess I have to install that 115 on my 99 tomorrow. :) I can't have a customer out do me. ;)

I don't know what else to say except two things 1. DAMN and 2. I think I'll make a couple 120mm pulleys.

I will admit up fron that I have 92 Octane in it and the temperature is ONLY 88F but WOW. About 8PSI at pedal down and rise to a little over 13. Fuel is just under 12 (pre-cat) all the way up. Chip, you won't need to mess with the maps. I guess my tables were good. It makes more boost at a given RPM so it simply moves up the map and corrects itself. :) In my besty Hannibal Smith voice "I love it when a plan comes together".

The key is the 92 (93 would be even better) octane at this temperature.

Chip, you are going to love it. Anybody else with an FFS coldside and E-Cool and 92+ octane, all it takes to go from 190WHP to 220(?) is a pulley and belt change. My cost on the pulley is $60 and I pay about $18 for the belt. You are welcome to a set at that price. $78 for about 25-30WHP ain't all bad.

Chip, it was snug but I used the same belt for the 115 as I had on the 110mm.

Not a hint of ping.

any new dyno plots?

I hope to join the 190 whp group next week.

Might have to upgrade my 100 pulley for a 105.

I'm trying to see when I can dyno. Today, maybe? If not, Tuesday or wednesday when we dyno Chucks. It will need 92 or better fuel.

100mm pulley will get you into the upper 180s. 105 for mid-upper 190s. 110mm for 210 and 115mm for 220? This is based on a 99/00. 94-97 will be real close to the same. 01-05 so far are limited to 105mm pulley and ~193 with stock exhaust. We never tried dropping my exhaust on the 05 but I think it is quite limiting. Just a gut feeling though and I should run it and dyno.

My dyno time is scheduled for next Monday at 11am. I have an hour booked but can go over if needed. Too bad I don't have a 120 to try as well!

They are making two 120s as we speak. Just for the record, I had a 126 on it for awhile back when it had the prototype manifold and it made over 125WHP and that manifold designed sucked. #2 port was partially blocked. I tried for today to dyno my 115 but they were trying to squeeze me in between two Mustangs and a Miata just doesn't fit there. :) I am back on for tomorrow morning at 9:00. More to follow.

Blower sounds SWEEEEET.

My dyno time has been rescheduled to 6/6 at 3pm so that I can fit in a root canal on Monday. Old age sucks!

Well, Dr. Evol, I think you will fair better then me. Here is a dyno graph with my 110mm pulley (at 75.7 *F) and my 115mm pulley today (at 104.9 *F). It was quiet and no ping but it just didn't want to make power at these temps. This was on 92 octane. I'm 'rooting' for you (pun intended :)) to out do me. I still think you will do close to 220 at your temperature. Still, with a 30F delta, it still got 6WHP.

LOL. I just checked my solar panel on my roof for the pool heater Not needed today :)) and the temperature on my roof at the solar panles like the black asphalt roadway is 137F. Can you say desert heat? I have a sensor in the nose of my 99 to monitor incoming air and it was ~128 this noon coming back from the dyno. I'm thinking of raising the 99 like those monster trucks to get the nose further from the road. If the air temperature hits 122F, we close Phoenix International Airport. Too hot for the planes to land. This is onlu the first of June.

Yeah, but you got that "Dry" heat. 120F in AZ is the equivalent of 75F in Houston.

Today it is 115 and dry. We had a front go through yesterday and it was 110 and about 80%. That was waaaay to much.

I see that the air fuel was leaner on in the upper rpms for the blue curve. If you were running closer to the same a/f with the larger pulley, I bet you would have made a bit more power. :) Very nice looking dynos!

It will be back on dyno tomorrow (Wednesday).

I think I found a cheap way to retain the low end torque and kill the wasted boost above 15PSI. I would talk about my "butt dyno" like J_Man always does but I think real numbers are better. :) Still running the 130mm pulley. I mat have to up the fuel to 92 octane to make the higher WHP. AZ fuel sucks and AZ winter fuel is even worse.

Pat, we had a problem we couldn't figure out making boost. Turns out it was a small leak in the bypass valve that was screwing it up. Found that a couple days later at 100+ MPH at PIR when it really let go. :-) That was the basis for the thread I started about moving the vacuum line on the bypass valve. Then it had the problem with the SplitFire coils on #2 and #3 cylinders. A dear friend had a couple spares and sent them to me this week which I installed Wednesday. Now I need to get back to the dyno. Maybe this coming week?
