I just got the car back on Saturday with the SC installed. Today I went to my first driving school. Started the day with a slalom course and braking exercise.

Having some AutoX experience I attacked the course as I would in an AutoX.

I could not believe it. I burnt rubber and was fish tailing all over the place.

On the second run I decide to start in 2nd gear. The same thing happened!!!

On the 3rd run I still started in 2nd but I poked a long the course and everything worked out fine.

On the way home from the track I got the wheels to spin in 3rd gear.

Tom, I do not need the 120mm pulley. I am dangerous enough with the 110mm pulley!!!!

Thanks to Tom I smiled like I have not done in centurys!!!

YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES, etc.

SWEET!!!! :cheers2:

I think the instructors thought I was trying to drive like a mad man.

I told them that I just got a SC installed and did not have a good feel for the power.

One instructor :1eye: just rolled his eye.

Awesome.

Have you confirmed good fuel (A/F) and no ping?

I have not. However, the shop said that it is pinging at redline. I am so excitied that all I can hear is the SC. I pushed the shop to do the install in between their other schduled work. So they will put on the dyno next week.

The A/F gauge is real pretty when the lights go around the gauge. Need to understand how to read it. :dots:

PS: If my mother knew what I :devil2: had done yesterday, she would have revoked her permission slip.

Tom, I thought you were on vacation?? What is the deal with you replying to my message at 4:30 am??? Did you not get my instructions on how to live during your vacation???

Let's not be beating on that engine until you get it tuned and confirm A/F and knock (actually, lack of knock. ;))

My wife allows me to watch over my loyal customers while driving through states with speed limits below 70. SADLY, I am in one.

Now that I am out east, I am 3 hours ahead of you. Your 4:30 is my 7:30.

Since this is the misc. category, is it OK to nit pick the forum master? By the way, it is really hard to type with loose rubber gloves on, I am working on my Jeep's differentials today and decided to take a break.

Tom, your directions are all off. I think it is "Out" West, "Down" South, "Up" North and "Back" East. I think "Back" East would only apply to Kansas.

It is a good thing I am here to keep you guys in line.

I remember when we lived 'back east' in Philadelphia, 'out west' meant Cleveland or Detroit. Not sure what they thought St. Louis was?

I ran a marathon in the NW terrotories of Canada (500 miles north of the arctic circle) and when they referred to "Southerners, they were talking about folks from Toronto and Montreal

Heck some say that Macedonia, Ohio is the crossroads of America.
Not sure how they figure that one.

Race Grandpa have a great time and be safe.

Having lived in NY, PA, OH, and TX, they ALL view it differently! All depends on what you define as the glory days of the States, I suppose. Texans look at the West as defined by the Louisiana Purchase. Pennsylvanians see Ohio as the 'West' since they weren't part of the first 13...

Shit, I think most Native Texans (The 'N' capitalization is malicious) are still fans of a secession movement!... At least when I was there... I remember moving to Texas at age 14, and hearing the phrase 'Yankee' like it was my parentally-given name!

All I know is I drive round-trip from Texas to northern Ohio about once a year, and it is BEAUTIFUL country almost all the way. Sometimes through Arkansas, but I prefer the Louisiana / Mississippi experience...

We're lucky people. Get out there and see it.
