I have 97 and just installed the Coldside. My mechanic said that it would run a lot better if the air-intake filter was not so close to the radiator.

What do you think about cutting a slit in the undertray and making a small aluminum air scoop that would prodrud down about 3/4" ?

:ack2:

I really do not need to do this but it would be fun to do a little experimenting with it.

:stupid:

Look for posts about 'cold Air" and "cowl" induction. These show air filter relocations Being as you're in Washington State, with all it's rain ??? I'ld consider moving the filter up and over the Pas. fender.

Another option is to route the hose to the passenger wheel well, and build a baffle to keep debris off the filter. One of the things I want to try eventually if I get the time. In the meantime, drive it and enjoy it. It works just fine where it is.

I have a 97 NA and there is no room for these in my engine bay. There is room in the later models.

My mechanic recommend that I do the samething. Need to make sure water does not get on the air intake.

I think this should increase the HP. Hopefully a lot.

If you or anyone else is interested in getting the same as I am, I can get them fabricated at the same time. It should save some $$$.

Let me know if you are interested.
