Ok I think I'm ready to make the jump and order my kit, a couple of questions though:
1. What is a typical install time? I have weekends and one weekday to spend at the dyno shop. The big question being the Gap is a month away and if I ordered within the next couple of days would I have time to get it in to take it to the Gap?
2. I've done a new clutch and flywheel (ACt stage 1) what else should I expect in terms of investment/new parts (car has 96k) (No A/C)?
Does anyone have a list of parts outside of the kit that help to make the install easier? New o-rings, hoses, belts? Gauges? Is an oil filter relo kit a requirement?
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Kevin in NC

I took about 20 hours to install, an another 20 to tweak and get everything the way I wanted it (of course this stage continues forever).
read all the install tips. Make sure to view all the old messages.
- Definitely get new o-rings and oil them.
- Check the FPR and make sure it is good.
- Get a 12mm crows foot for the rear manifold bolts.
- Buy extra hoses for vacuum lines.
- Buy wire looms & tape.
- Consider upgrading the radiator.
Getting done for MATG might be doable...

We are currently 2 weeks away for blowers. Happily we have run out of stock. Sadly, we have run out of stock. It has been a very busy first half of the year. I don't think you would make the gap without rushing things and that is not the right way to do it. Sorry.
However, if you do place an order, you will be #100 and we will celebrate. I just took the order for #99 today. :)

I installed a Thompson oil relocate on mine. Not mandatory but nice when of course you have to change your oil. I also went crazy and had to have oil pressure & temp gauge along with wtr temp .. these 3 gauges being located at DIN. Having the oil relocate kit made implementing the sensors a snap.
Uhh I luv my CS SC, it is a real hoot to drive. I am @ 194 whp at 11 lbs of boost but still got plenty of room to move. Tom is moving forward with LC-1 talking with the PC Pro so that you have a A/F target established and also up coming timing card for even more boost.

An oil filter relocation kit is not needed....juste did my oil change 2 weeks ago and i still have pretty good access to the filter without having to go under the car!

In my opinion, you have to take your time if you want to do things right. I was hoping to track the car 2 weeks after my install but it wasnt very realistic. Different issues have since come up after the install and i have taken the time to have these things changed and improved. Its sometimes frustrating but you learn a lot from improving your setup yourself and asking others. Tom is very helpful with this stuff.
I'll track the car once its ready but its perfectly driveable, as of now its just not track ready.

I did my install in about 6 hours. I also added several hours after the install to clean things up to my liking.
I installed have a ACT stage one clutch with street disc. It works great with the added power. The stock clutch didnt last long after the kit install. Since I live in the desert I also added a PWR radiator. I was not having heating issues with the stock radiator.
I also installed a boost gauge to monitor boost levels and a Innovate Motorsports wideband O2 sensor to monitor the air/fuel ratio.

I am 3.5 months into my installation and hoping to be done before the gap in a month. I am eagerly awaiting the return of my PC-Pro's from Tom to begin tunning again.

You are darn quick to do that all this in 6 hours...to me its simply impossible to do it that quick and sure 99.99% of people can't either.
Most people will realistically do the basic install in about 20-25 hours time and add a few hours onto that to fiddle and improve the install.
